iPad Availability Date Announced: April 3rd, 2010. Pre-Order: March 12, 2010.

We've been waiting more than a month since launch to learn when exactly the iPad will be available. Apple finally provided some details today: The iPad non-3G will be available April 3rd, 2010. The 3G model will be available later in the month.

The non-3G iPad will be available for pre-order from the Apple Online Store starting March 12. Alternatively, reserve for pickup can be arranged at any Apple Retail Store.

Sorry: If you're not in the U.S., you'll need to wait a little longer! Also, if you want the 3G version, you'll need to wait, too.
