About iPad Basics (iPadBasics.com)
What is the goal of iPad Basics?
iPad Basics aims to provide you with easy-to-understand how-to articles, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and advice about the Apple iPad tablet computing device, including its basic functions and common applications. We want to help you be productive with your iPad as soon as possible, from unboxing it to completing specific tasks.
But... the iPad isn't available yet! What's up with that?
Correct. The iPad isn't available yet, so please be patient with us as we wait for its official arrival in stores. Since we don't have our devices in-hand yet, there isn't much concrete information we can provide you. But we'll try to keep it interesting until we have our iPads!
Woohoo!!!!! It's here! So ignore what we said beforeā¦
Who runs iPad Basics?
We're three good pals who met in college many years ago. Each of us is a gadget nut.
Pal #1: Chris W. Rea
Chris spends too much on gadgets. Recent acquisitions include a Sony Reader PRS-600, which impressed Chris initially as an ebook reader but left much to be desired when it comes to everything else, and a Dell Mini 10 netbook with a touchpad that's driving him nuts. Chris has high hopes the iPad is to be the "one device to rule them all."
Pal #2: Carey Barnett
Carey spends too much on gadgets also. Recent acquisitions include Canon G10 digital camera, a new set of precision screwdrivers, several spudgers, and, of course, an iPad - the baseline, 16 gigabyte, no-3g model.
Pal #3: C.Hoo
There is no such thing as spending too much on gadgets! In my case they seem to be getting bigger. Most are phones, PDA's (remember the days of Palm) and some curiosities (Nokia's N800). Recently I got a Acer netbook. The iPad is the first multi-touch device I have used.
